Invoice Terms and Conditions

Trading as MR4X4 (The Company)
Specialist Servicing for Range Rovers, Land Rovers & High-End Luxury 4×4 Vehicles.

Applicable to all invoices for servicing, repair, and maintenance

1. PAYMENT TERMS – IMMEDIATE UPON PRESENTATION

1.1 All invoices are due for immediate payment in full upon presentation.

1.2 The Company is not obliged to release the vehicle, keys, or any property until payment is made.

1.3 Accepted payment methods: bank transfer, debit/credit card, or cash. Cheques only if agreed in writing 7 days in advance.

1.4 If payment is not made, the Company may:

  • Refuse further work;
  • Apply storage charges;
  • Exercise a lien over the vehicle;
  • Transfer the debt to a collection agency.

2. NO FAULT ON CUSTOMER SUPPLIED PARTS

2.1 No warranty is given on customer supplied parts.

2.2 The Company accepts no liability for damage or failure caused by such parts.

2.3 The Customer indemnifies the Company against all claims arising from these parts.

2.4 Labour guarantee applies only for 5 days or 100 miles.

2.5 The Company is not obliged to inspect supplied parts.

2.6 The Customer pays all costs if supplied parts fail.

3. COMPANY SUPPLIED PARTS – TITLE AND RISK

3.1 Ownership remains with the Company until payment is made in full.

3.2 The Company may repossess parts if payment is overdue.

3.3 Risk passes to the Customer upon delivery.

4. LIABILITY LIMITATION

4.1 Liability is limited to the invoice value.

4.2 The Company is not liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential losses;
  • Loss of profit or use;
  • Towing or transport costs;
  • Third-party damage (unless due to gross negligence).

4.3 Nothing excludes liability for death, injury, or fraud.

5. CUSTOMER’S OBLIGATIONS

  • Disclose faults and modifications;
  • Ensure vehicle insurance;
  • Provide authority to work on the vehicle.

6. QUOTATIONS AND ADDITIONAL WORK

6.1 Quotations are estimates unless stated otherwise.

6.2 Additional work will be communicated and approved.

6.3 Prices may vary due to unforeseen work or cost changes.

7. WARRANTY

7.1 3-month warranty on labour and supplied parts (with exclusions).

7.2 Warranty void if misuse or third-party work occurs.

7.3 Claims must be made in writing.

8. STORAGE AND LIEN

8.1 Storage charges apply after 72 hours: £25 + VAT per day.

8.2 The Company retains a lien until debts are paid.

8.3 Vehicles may be sold after 90 days of non-payment.

9. DATA PROTECTION (UK GDPR)

The Company processes personal data in accordance with UK GDPR.

  • Data collected: contact details, vehicle info, payment details;
  • Purpose: service delivery, legal compliance, business operations;
  • Retention: typically 6 years;
  • Rights: access, correction, erasure, objection.

10. COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE

Customers should first raise concerns informally.

Formal complaints must be submitted in writing to:

Response provided within 28 days.

11. STANDARD OF SERVICE

All services are carried out with reasonable care and skill under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

12. RIGHT TO REJECT PARTS

Customers may reject faulty parts within 30 days, subject to conditions.

13. GOVERNING LAW

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
